Scottish Ceilidh Dance Classes

Adult Scottish Ceilidh dance classes are currently running weekly sessions..

These sessions are ran in partnership with Gay Gordans Manchester:  https://www.gay-gordons-manchester.co.uk/

The sessions take place Saturday afternoons 2pm-4pm. £5 per session. 

With the activitiy being physical in nature, we do ask for a short and confidential health form to be completed when you register.

FREE AUTISM FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP

“The group is free to attend and we are hoping you will come along to see us and also have some breakfast with us!” - Sam.

Monthly based sessions at Burnside. Tuesdays 9.30AM - 11.30AM on the following 2022 dates:​

This group is open to any family in the Rochdale Borough who has a child/ren with additional needs, no diagnosis is necessary.

Burnside Minis  

Free, interactive baby and parent/carer class including music, movement and storytelling.

The sessions are an opportunity to meet other parents and to encouage your little ones to socilise too. The sessions are a combination of guided activities and free play with an array of equipment. 
  • Mondays 10am-11.30am
  • Runs in 12 week blocks/term time.
  • Each 3 weeks has a differnt theme!

Karate & Self Defence Classes

These sessions are ideal for children, teens and adults to gain confidence, discipline, focus, respect and fitness.

Classes take place three times a week:
  • Wednesday evenings for children 6.45pm-7.45pm
  • Friday evenings for mixed ages  5.30pm-6.30pm
  • Sunday mornings for children 9am-10am

Sweaty Mamas! Baby and Parent exercise classes

Baby and parent exercise classes take place each Thursday morning at 10am - 10.45am!

Welcoming babies from 6 weeks to 4 years.

McGowanettes Morris Dance Troupe

The McGowanettes are a competition dance troupe with a long history. They are open to people from aged 3 upwards to mature adults.

​The sessions are currently taking place Tuesdays 6.30pm-8.30pm.

Thinking Ahead - Counselling, Mental health and well-being

This free mental health service is for anyone who lives in the Heywood, Middleton and Rochdale area or whose GP surgery is based there. 

They are currently at Burnside Centre on Mondays and Fridays 9am-4pm. 

Thinking Ahead offer support with such problems as anxiety, low moods and depression. Adults ages 16+ can self refer into this talk therapy service via the links below or pop into Burnside and staff will support your referal and get that sorted for you.

Turning Point

Turning Point support people who have drug and alcohol dependency issues. They offer one to one support through the recovery process. Support and Recovery Coaches are at Burnside Centre every Thursday 9am-4pm.
